Shortbread has arrived in da house

Yesterday, Girl Friday decided to take herself off out for the day - she said something about going to a show with sausage dogs - the least she could have done was bought a sausage back for me - but no, what does she come back with? Shortbread. SHORTBREAD??? What sort of a name is Shortbread? Fancy calling yourself after something that human slaves like to eat - stupid dog. I suppose you want to see who Shortbread is now - well here he is trying to say hello to me but I am far too tired to chat to him right now - he can stand fanning me for a while as despite it being raining today, it quite warm so he might as well make himself useful now that he's here .......

He used to work in a nightclub apparently as a Tom Jones impersonator and when Girl Friday can work it out, no doubt she'll add the video for you - he had better not start practising his moves whilst I am trying to sleep or he'll be right out the window :-)

She's scrapped me now - cruel GF - I'll get my own back

If that GF thinks she can get rid of me that quick, she has another think coming. She's scrapped me - but I've not seen my replacement yet - but I'll have all the claws out and will spit and hiss at who-ever Girl Friday thinks she is going to replace me with. She didn't even tell me she was thinking of scrapping me - she just went ahead and did it.

I don't know how much longer I will be here but to all my fans, PLEASE don't let GF scrap me - I'm too young to be scrapped

Cool for cats

Phew, has it been hot today here or what???? So whilst Girl Friday was out and about on her broombike, I took advantage of the whirly thing that was standing around being lazy and told it to do its thing and keep me cool.

I hear Girl Friday saying something about is costing "money" and that it uses "electricalicity" but I am a cat and menial things like that (whatever they are) are WAY WAy Way way below me - thats what I have a Girl Friday for.

Doesn't everything run on batteries then like me?

Oh well, off to have another nap. Meow for now xxx

This is Big Brother - who goes? I decide ........................

Friday evening saw a new housemate enter into the BB house - his name was Charlie. Initially he introduced himself and I put him in his place. I had the high ground on the cushion on the table - whilst he got the carpet on the floor.

Then on Saturday evening when the stupid boy decided to practice his high diving from the edge of the toilet seat into the toilet bowl, I warmed to him a bit and on Sunday, whilst Girl Friday was out doing whatever she does, Charlie and I snuggled up on the sofa and caught up with a bit of telly.

But then at 7pm this evening, Big Brother announced which housemate had been evicted and it was Charlie and he has now gone home.

He may come back to spend the weekend and it will be fine by me

Dogs ????????? What is Girl Friday thinking !!!!!

What IS that Girl Friday thinking bringing a DOG into the house !!!!! At least it can't roam about the flat like I can though - this one seems to be trapped inside a little pink box and to get it to bark or do anything you have to poke it with a little pink stick - very odd behaviour if you ask me.

Girl Friday talks to it though - she calls it Poppy - now forgive me, but I am sure that poppies are little red or blue flowers that grow in fields (then again a Pumpkin is a large orange vegetable that grows in a field too so I can't really comment there can I ).

Poppy can't be very well behaved though as Girl Friday keeps telling the pink box to "Sit Down" or "Lay Down" . ha, she doesn't have to tell me to do that - I must be a good little kitty

Sorry to have been away so long

Good morning faithful followers and may I start by apologising for my absence - I have so much sleeping to do since Girl Fridays water falling device got fixed as with all the activity going on, I didn't get a lot of sleep so I have had to catch up. And thank you to Jan for worrying about me being trapped under the floorboards - I wasn't xxx.

I heard the man that came to stick white squares on the wall say to Girl Friday that he was worried about me as I hadn't moved from the bed the entire time he was there - the poor man hadn't realised that I run on batteries not Go-Cat LOLOLOLOL

I have decided that's its time I got in better shape - all this sleeping could be doing damage to my waistline so as Girl Friday isn't using this strange device very much, I thought I would give it a go instead - but its such hard work and makes a little kitty like me very tired - not very comfy to nap on but I'm a cat so I'll sleep anywhere

What IS all the fuss about????????

Can someone please explain what all the fuss is about with you humans and your fascination with falling water???????? Don't you know that water is evil and bad for you. It makes your fur wet and spoils your appearance - you have to look good when you are asleep you know - you've all been onto I Can Haz Cheesburger?
and seen those terrible pictures of torture where you humans pour water on us and seen the effects. We are not like those pre-gremlin things that must never be fed at night and must never have water poured on them - we don't turn into mad creatures and cause riots in the town but it certainly doesn't do our street cred much good.

Anyway, I have decided that if I stay here, it will cut down the risk of Girl Friday getting the falling water device fixed and that in turn will reduce the risk of me accidentally walking into it and ending up looking like a bedraggled rat.

Been out an a real adventure today

Girl Friday took me to visit one of her clients today and it was so nice in her garden that i curled up on the seat in the sun and had a lovely nap.

Then when GF had done what she does for the lady, she took me to the lock where she sat eating her lunch while I had a nap on the lock gate - I was guarding GF's bike really :-)

Helping with the decorating

My Girl Friday has that man of hers coming over today to do some more painting in my home so I thought that out of the courtesy of my good heart, I would help him out and make a start. Well the effort of getting the paint pot out of the cupboard and collecting the paint tray and roller has totally worn me out and I can't be bothered now so I shall have a nap. Man Friday better not wake me up when he comes in - I'll pee in his motorbike helmet if he does!!

Weird weather for a Saturday

Afternoon all my lovely followers (and anyone else to happens to be reading this today). My Girl Friday has been out doing whatever she does when she goes out this morning and she left the door to the wardrobe open and with all the horrid weather outside, I though that this strange looking contraption that was hanging in there looked like the perfect place to curl up and have a snooze before she got home and realised and shut the door.

Credit Crunch

I've been watching the telly whilst Girl Friday has been out foraging for food or whatever she does and seen loads of articles about a strange sweet called the"credit crunch". I was wondering if it was tasty so decided to count my pennies and was going to go over to Lidl's and see if they had any in their sweetie section - but as you can see, I got so tired and I fell asleep.

hello everydody, dat silly dirl Friday took doo long putting the draft proofing up at da window and now I've caught a cold. Chicken in a basket - revisited

Girl Friday left her basket of papers on my cushion today, so I thought I would have a good rummage through to see what all the fuss is about - its just paper after all. And it does make for excellent insulation - so I fell asleep on it, as I do.

Afternoon all my lovelies and I've had a busy morning on the phone whilst Girl Friday has been out. I have a friend in Australia that I haven't been able to speak to for a long time so we had loads to catch up on - so much so that I fell asleep about about the first 2 hours on the phone - we had a lot to catch up on

At last she has gone out........................

.......... and I've been able to do a bit of bug hunting. I came across this HUGE specimen under the desk where Girl Friday sits at MY pc. I looked up the Latin name for this particular species and found out that its called "Embosus cardius beautyfullus". Its a flying species (the wings either side are a bit of a giveaway) and its a glorious green colour so it can blend it with the countryside when its out in its natural environment. I may have to launch it through the kitchen window later and set it free seeing as it appears to have flown in and got itself stuck in here - silly bug (and I'll stop there lol).

How dare she? how DARE she???

Flipping Girl Friday came back early from work yesterday and I hadn't woken up from my slumber and she was in the flat for the rest of the day watching 22 men run around a HUGE field in Italy chasing what appeared to be an oversized boiled egg and then kicking it over a post - very odd indeed. I had wanted to go off and do some more exploring around the place but couldn't so sorry if you tuned in yesterday.

Day 7 - Red Nose Day

Well people's, it's late in the day but Girl Friday is watching Comic Relief and I've had to sneak on while she's been getting a drink of squash. Been a good show though - getting better as the night has been going on. She's been making odd sounding noises which I assume you humans would describe as laughing so it must be good.

As for me? I found a nice little bag to investigate today whilst she was out - I think she uses it when she goes to those croft classes (is she learning to herd sheep?) I was just beginning to have a good root around it when she came home so I fell asleep in it instead - and very cosy it was too :-)

Day 6

Well, although its late, I am here at long last. My Girl Friday has been out again today and left me to fend for myself. Well, unbeknown to her, I DID catch a fish the other day and I've been saving it up for today BUT I had a problem, I've never cooked before, that's what servants are for, so I had to have a look through a cookery book today to see what I had to do. Then I ran into another problem, just like that Iams cat on the telly, I can't read so I had to eat my fish raw - sushi style and very nice it was too. I got so tired though I fell asleep in front of the book :-)

Day 5

Wow, what a great day I have had today whilst Girl Friday has been out. She turned the PC off but little does she know I have been watching what she does and I know how to turn it on again now - so I've been surfing today. Didn't catch any fish mind you so Girl Friday had better leave me a tasty morsel or two later on.

And seeing as I got so tired, I thought I'd have a nap on the keyboard. Girl Friday won't be happy but never mind - she has loads of card orders to do so can get on with those whilst I have a well earned nap.

Stop that noise !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am TRYING to sleep

I can see I am going to have to have words with my Girl Friday - she came home from work today, got this odd looking contraption out of the cupboard, plugged it in, pressed a switch and it made this awful noise and there's me trying to sleep - what is the woman thinking of !!! So while her back was turned, I sneaked over and pretended to be asleep in front of it so she had to stop - she's too soft to risk waking me hehehehehehe. And that thing calls itself "The Boss" - well we'll see about that.

Girl Friday is trying to fool me - she thinks I don't know that its not a real fish tank. I can sit up on here though and choose what I want for my dinner - the big yellow one looks nice but I gotta be careful that I don't fall off.

Day 3 and I'm in trouble now ...

... but is it my fault that Girl Friday left the ribbon box accessible???? It looked like a very cosy spot for a nap, so I had to try it out.

Girl Friday has put the lid back on the box now and put it up on top of a storage trolley so I can't get at it anymore - I am only little of course and the effort to jump up on the trolley would completely wear me out and I'd have to have a nap again.

Day 1 in Pumpkins new house

My Girl Friday went out to work today and whilst she was out, I went ratting - well I am a cat and thats what I do. I couldn't find any rats though - but I did come across a hamster. I had a bit of a fight with it as, as you can see, he is bigger than me and the effort completely wore me out. But I kept hold of his tail even while I slept so he didn't get away

Hi, I am Pumpkin

Hi everyone, my name is Pumpkin and I was rescued from a Charity shop Window last week by my new servant, Cazz. She now has the unending task of looking after me and tending to my every needs. I sleep a lot and will need a new battery from time to time when mine runs out so she won't have too much to do.

But its what I get up to whilst she is out at work that I'll be telling you about in this blog.
